About Us
Massachusetts Association of Landscape Professionals
is an organization in Massachusetts that promotes professionalism in the landscape industry. They maintain high standards by requiring applicants to pass two exams that on average 35% of applicants pass. Upon passing the exams you must attend multiple continuing education courses yearly to maintain membership. These seminars with professors and industry professionals are a great way to stay up to date with new products, procedures and trends in the landscape industry.
Stockbridge School of Agriculture
The Stockbridge School of Agriculture is part of Umass Amherst. Eric Lowrey received his Associates Degree in Landscape Contracting from Stockbridge in 2003. The program focuses heavily on landscape design, entomology, microbiology, soils, plant identification and landscape construction technologies.
Massachusetts Applicators License
Eric Lowrey passed the Massachusetts Applicators License exam in 2007. To maintain this license continuing education courses are required. This license allows us to apply fertilizer commercially and allows us to apply products not available to homeowners. These restricted use products provides better control over insects and weeds.
